We moved into our new state-of-the-art building in January 2024. The move starts a new chapter on Keeton’s Road, that will see us continue a rich educational heritage, one so brilliantly brought to life by local historian, Graham Taylor.
In SE16, Graham tells us about the extraordinary Keeton’s Road School, dating back to 1876, which transformed the lives of children, through an innovative curriculum, which balanced the academic alongside the arts and enrichment. The school became regarded as a stepping stone to higher schools and universities. That school ended tragically, in 1940, taking a direct hit from a German bomb, but it has risen again today in Charter School Bermondsey.
From Science labs to a rooftop multi-use games area and exceptional visual and performing arts facilities, the new The Charter School Bermondsey is an inspiring learning environment, with everything pupils need to thrive.
