Every morning, pupils meet with their Learning Family Tutor - a dedicated member of staff who knows them well, tracks their wellbeing and progress, and stays in close contact with parents and carers.
It's the same face, every day, and that consistency matters. Our LFT programme is designed to set every pupil up for the day ahead. Each session includes positive recognition of attendance, reading and personal achievements, current affairs discussion that builds confidence and curiosity, PSHE topics explored in a supportive and age-appropriate way, and a weekly Celebration PowerPoint that shines a light on what's happening across the whole school.

Each year group is led by a dedicated Head of Year who oversees the wellbeing, behaviour and school spirit of their cohort. Working closely with tutors and our wider pastoral team, Heads of Year are a key point of contact for families - and a first port of call whenever a pupil needs additional support or guidance.

Every pupil joins one of our Houses, giving them the chance to compete in sporting, academic and creative events throughout the year. More than friendly competition, our House system builds connections across year groups, strengthens a sense of belonging and creates a community that stretches beyond the classroom.

The move from primary to secondary school is one of the biggest moments in a young person's life. For pupils who need a little more support at this stage, we offer targeted nurture provision from the moment they join us.
This includes small group catch-up sessions, one-to-one mentoring, and a carefully planned curriculum that prioritises Literacy and Numeracy while keeping every pupil connected to the wider school experience. Our goal is always full, confident integration into mainstream school life - at a pace that works for each individual child.
