Support for the

the whole person.

At Charter Bermondsey, we take mental health as seriously as academic progress. A pupil who feels anxious, unsupported or overwhelmed cannot learn at their best - so our wellbeing provision is built into the fabric of school life, not bolted on as an afterthought.

Every pupil has access to compassionate, confidential support, and no one has to ask twice.

How we support

Place2Be

Charter Bermondsey is a proud partner of Place2Be, one of the UK's leading children's mental health charities. Our dedicated Place2Be practitioner is a familiar presence in school, offering confidential one-to-one counselling, early mental health support, staff training and wellbeing guidance for parents and carers.

It's a warm, non-judgemental space where young people can talk through whatever they're facing, at their own pace.

Groundwork

We also work with Groundwork to provide mentoring, coaching and one-to-one support - helping pupils build confidence, develop resilience and re-engage with school life.

Together, Place2Be and Groundwork mean the right support is always close at hand.

A whole-school approach

Wellbeing here isn't only about specialist services - it's about culture. Every member of staff is trained to spot when a young person is struggling, and every pupil knows they can talk to a trusted adult. We work every day to make this a school where every child feels genuinely valued.

If you have concerns about your child's wellbeing, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
