Thank you to Mr Ahiko for leading our International Day of Languages assembly and celebrating the importance of learning about different languages and cultures.
At Charter Bermondsey, we believe in the power of languages to connect people, broaden horizons, and build academic confidence. Learning a language helps our students develop communication skills, cultural awareness, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Every Charter Bermondsey student studies a language at Key Stage 3, and the majority continue with a language at GCSE, at around double the national rate.
This summer brought even more reason to celebrate, with fantastic GCSE language results and record numbers of students achieving grades 4+ and 5+.
Well done to our students and Languages team!
